Your notes. Your privacy.
Your way.
Encrypted notes that work in any browser. No install required.
Not sure yet? Find out why VaultWeb is different →
Private by design, not by policy
Every note is encrypted on your device before it leaves your browser. VaultWeb's servers store ciphertext — nothing readable, nothing we could hand over even if asked. This isn't a privacy promise. It's how the system is built.
How the encryption works →Your files, always yours
Your vault is plain .md files — open them in Obsidian, VS Code, or any text editor. Export everything as a .zip at any time, whether you're subscribed or not. We can't hold your data hostage because structurally it was never ours to hold.
Any browser. Any device. No install.
Open your vault from a work computer, a tablet, a library machine — anywhere with a browser. After your first visit, VaultWeb keeps working even without a connection. Your edits queue locally and sync the moment you're back online.
How access works →Privacy that's structural, not a promise
Your vault key is derived from your password on your device using PBKDF2 and never touches our servers. Every note, attachment, and file is encrypted with that key before it's sent anywhere.
When you open a note, your browser fetches the ciphertext and decrypts it locally. We store encrypted blobs — even under a legal order, there is nothing readable for us to hand over. We built VaultWeb so that trusting us is optional.
Built-in systems for how you actually work
VaultWeb goes beyond notes. Install purpose-built systems that turn your vault into a private workspace — each one is plain Markdown files, fully encrypted, no extra cost.
Focus
A daily system designed around how ADHD brains actually work. One big thing each morning, a place for every stray thought, a win log that builds over time. No streaks. No red badges. No language about what you missed.
Personal CRM
Track your relationships the way you think about them — as notes, not rows in a database. Log interactions, follow-ups, and context for every contact, all searchable, all encrypted, all yours.
Book Writing
A structured workspace for long-form writing. Organise manuscripts, chapters, scenes, characters, and research in one vault. Compile to Markdown, HTML, or EPUB when you're ready — no proprietary project files, no lock-in.
Cookbook
A private recipe collection that actually works the way you cook. Gallery view for browsing, filtered views for favourites and want-to-try lists, meal planning, and shopping lists — all in your encrypted vault.
Every system installs in one click and lives as plain .md files in your vault. Install as many as you need — there's no extra cost.
