VaultWeb — Terms of Service

Last updated: July 12, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of VaultWeb, a web-based knowledge management application operated by Le Groupe Reseau ISALPI Inc. ("VaultWeb," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using VaultWeb, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

VaultWeb provides a web-based, encrypted note-taking and knowledge-management application. Your content is encrypted client-side before it ever reaches our servers — we cannot read, access, or recover your notes' contents. You are solely responsible for remembering your password and safeguarding your recovery key; loss of both means permanent loss of access to your encrypted data, and we have no way to restore it.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

3. Billing — Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our payments provider, Stripe, Inc., via Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and provides all customer service inquiries related to payments. Stripe handles subscription billing, one-time purchases, applicable sales tax/VAT, and payment-related refunds on our behalf, in accordance with our Refund Policy.

4. Free Trial

New accounts include a 30-day free trial with full access to VaultWeb's features. No payment method is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, continued access requires an active paid plan: you can no longer create, edit, or delete notes, but you retain full read access to everything already in your vault, and can export your complete vault as plain Markdown at any time, whether or not you subscribe. Your data is not deleted for being on an expired trial.

5. Cancellation and Payment Failure

If you cancel a paid subscription, or a payment fails and cannot be recovered, you keep full read and write access for 7 days from the cancellation or failure — a grace period intended to give you time to resolve a payment issue or export your data before write access pauses. After the 7-day grace period, the same read-only behavior described in Section 4 (Free Trial) applies: your data remains fully readable and exportable, but you can no longer create, edit, or delete notes until you resubscribe.

6. Your Content

You retain full ownership of everything you store in VaultWeb. Your notes are stored as plain Markdown files, encrypted client-side; you may export your full vault at any time. We claim no rights to your content beyond what is technically necessary to store and serve it back to you.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use VaultWeb to store or distribute unlawful content, to attempt to breach the security of the service, or to interfere with other users' access to VaultWeb.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from account settings, which permanently deletes your stored data after 30 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

VaultWeb is provided "as is." Because we cannot access your encrypted content, we cannot guarantee recovery of data lost due to a forgotten password and missing recovery key. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Le Groupe Reseau ISALPI Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice before taking effect.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada.
